Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect from physical therapy for an injury?
Physical therapy rehabilitates injuries and surgeries by strengthening weak muscle groups, stretching tight joints and soft tissue, and restoring function to the individual. This is done by a combination of exercise, manual therapy, and education. The focus of therapy should be on achieving your specific objectives.
What if I'm not injured, but still want to get stronger and healthier?
Physical therapists have advanced training in anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology. Many people look for trained professionals to progress their current level of fitness beyond what "personal trainers" at their local gym are qualified to do. By listening to your goals, a customized program will be designed and implemented. With the proper plan and motivation the sky is the limit!
Do I need a doctor's referral or prescription?
For treatment of an injury or surgery, a doctor's prescription will be required after the evaluation. For training or wellness care, no referral is necessary.
Do you accept insurance?
Due to the ever-changing restrictions and requirements with insurance plans, insurance will not be involved in your care. The focus will be on your needs and goals. This way no third party will deny care or make decisions on your health. All decisions will be made between you and your therapist.
How do I get started?
Getting started is easy. Simply go to the Contact page and email what you are looking for and a way to contact you.  Appointments will be made promptly and around your schedule.
